Green Beans Almondine with Grain

 1 lb Green Beans- thawed frozen or blanched fresh green beans
 1 cup cooked grain
 3 tbsp Silvered Almonds
 2 tsp Oil
 0.50 tsp Maple Syrup
 0.25 cup Diced Onions
 2 Garlic cloves -minced
 0.25 tsp salt
 0.25 tsp pepper
 2 tbsp coconut aminos or soy sauce

Wash hands and produce. In a medium skillet, toast almondines in one teaspoon of oil for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from heat. Add maple syrup. Pour onto a plate and allow to cool. Using the same skillet, add one teaspoon of oil to saute the onion for a few minutes. Add garlic and saute for 30 seconds more. Add green beans and cooked grain. Cook for about 5 minutes, add salt pepper and coconut aminos. Remove to serving bowls. Top with almonds and serve immediately.
