Fruited Pinwheels

 1 Puff Pastry sheet
 6 tbsp Jam or fruit compote
Note:
Thaw puff pastry overnight in refrigerator or 30 minutes at room temperature.
Added Touch:
1. For a shiny golden color pastry, beat 1 egg with 1 Tbsp. water & brush over pastry before baking.
2. Thin frosting or glaze made using 1 C. powdered sugar & 2 Tbsp. whole milk or cream. Add 1/2 tsp.
vanilla and mix.

1. Wash hands.
2. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
3. Lightly flour work surface. Place thawed puff pastry on floured surface and roll out to 12" x 12" rectangle. Cut into 6 equal sized pieces.
4. Arrange pastry pieced on parchment lined sheet pan. Lightly press indentations in the center of each to create a 2" circle. Use a knife to cut through the pastry from each corner toward the center.
5. Place 1 Tbsp. of jam or fruit in the center of each pinwheel.
6. Fold over each corner to create the pinwheel effect.
7. Brush with egg wash.
8. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 -15 minutes or until golden brown.
9. Drizzle each pinwheel with glaze.
