Ahi Tuna

Yields1 Serving
 6 oz ahi tuna- two
2 tbsp coconut aminos or low sodium soy sauce
 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
 1 tbsp maple syrup
 1 tbsp lime juice
1

Wash your hands. Combine coconut aminos or soy sauce, sesame oil, maple syrup, and lime juice in a ziplock bag.

2

Place Ahi Tuna steaks in the ziplock bag with marinade. In the fridge, let tuna marinade in the bag for 15-90 minutes.

3

When the tuna is finished marinating, remove it from the bag. Start pre-heating your skillet. If you are using cast iron, (recommended), heat until just starting to smoke. If you have an over-the-stove fan, turn it on. My favorite pan is a cast iron grill pan, so I get beautiful grill marks.

4

Sear for two minutes on the first side of the tuna, turn it over and grill the second side for one to minutes more. Have your sides ready to eat because the tuna will be ready to eat immediately. This method cooks your tuna to very raw inside, and it tastes amazing!
