Overnight Oatmeal

 ½ cup Old Fashioned Oatmeal
 ¾ cup Milk or Soy Milk
 1 tbsp Ground Flax Seed
 1 tsp Pure Maple Syrup
 ½ tsp Pure Vanilla (Optional)
 1 dash Cinnamon
 ½ cup Berries
 Sprinkle Walnuts

The night before combine oats, milk, syrup and any spices in a covered jar. Give the jar a stir or shake with all ingredients then top with berries. Just before eating add walnuts.

I eat my oats cold, but feel free to warm them in the microwave and add on toppings after warming.

Extra toppings: Strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, apples, mango, walnuts, coconut, nut butters, peaches, pureed pumpkin or whatever is in season.
